Hello lovelies,

It’s been a while I wrote a style post. So what better time than now to write one when everyone is in the Christmas mood, and most likely planning slay outfits?!

I’m also ready to turn up after having a whirlwind of a year filled with many heartaches at the start, but now ending brilliantly.

When I was approached by Boohoo to choose a Christmas party outfit, I knew that I wanted something glamorous that could still be worn on other occasions.

And as they say in fashion, nothing beats a Little Black Dress. Or in my case, a Long Black Dress ????

I particularly liked the neckline of this sequin dress which was why I chose it. The thin straps also meant that it would look effortless on me because of my collar bone. The key thing to note when choosing an outfit is to firstly know the areas of your body that suit certain styles, then choose an outfit accordingly to accentuate those areas. So for me, although I’m not voluptuous, necklines like these are suitable because I have broad shoulders that I usually try to keep toned. So a thin strapped dress with a square neckline, works well!

Sequin dresses can sometimes be a hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit and Boohoo has much more styles to choose from.

Christmas day celebrations used to be uber fun when I was much younger, but as I’ve grown older, I’ve become indifferent to it. If I’m in London, I tend to spend it with family at home, eating all the Nigerian food I can help myself to. And when I’m in Lagos, I visit friends and we catch up and reminisce all our childhood mishaps while sharing a meal and having a good laugh!

This year, I’m looking forward to celebrating with friends, as well as an invigorating and relaxing day with loved ones.

Have you decided what to wear if you’d be out celebrating?

I’m so happy for how these pictures turned out because I took them myself. And I can’t wait to actually step out in this glitzy sequin dress and paint the town red!

Check out even more sequin dresses from Boohoo here.

Dress was gifted, shoes are also from Boohoo, but I bought them in the summer ✨
