If someone should ask what the most important thing I learned in 2018 is, without hesitation, I’d say- there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

This might sound very cliche, but for someone who at some point began to doubt and worry if this saying would hold true for me, I can tell you now that it is true. If you keeping going and working towards your goals, the light at the end of the tunnel will be sure to pop up at some point.

This might be after several weeks or months, but in my case, it was years! For a terrifying number of years, I didn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. And as you can imagine, I began to wonder if I had put all at stake for nothing. And if my risky decisions were worth it.

I always knew that I never wanted to live with regrets, so if given the chance, I knew that I’d most likely make the same decisions, but when your back has been held up against a wall for so long, you begin to wonder if it will ever happen for you.

You hear people say that they believe in the saying, but you sometimes wonder, will it just be my luck that it doesn’t?

To the glory of God, three of such dark tunnels came to a brilliant ending, all at the same time. This made me think- wow, when God decides it’s your time, He (not that I believe He’s a He. “It” sounds disrespectful no?) fucking shows off!

So as you know by now, I got a book deal, then the second tunnel was getting back to my career in content and social media, but this time to a company and team I really enjoy working with! The third tunnel is very personal, and it is one which I had trekked through for over 10 years and I’m happy that it has finally come to an end and I can find peace.

So if you’re struggling with anything, whether it’s been for a short while or for years, hold on, because truly, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I should know!

PS: I’d like to inform you that my current subscriber list(as of 2018) will be deleted next month because I plan to start a new monthly newsletter format where I share more personal stories and useful knowledge on things that I’ll be learning. Things like finances, travel dairies, education, spirituality, life, et al. So it will be less of promoting my blog posts, but more about life stories and knowledge so we can all grow together. Each month will have a theme on what I’m reflecting on in that month.

I don’t want you to join this list for the sake of it. In fact, the smaller the better! 2019 is going to be a very intentional year for me, and I’d like to grow a honest and loyal tribe, not for the likes or social media follows, but to truly grow together in sharing our knowledge, and connect wherever in the  world we might find ourselves. If you’d like to join, I’d expect a commitment from you to open the emails and engage with the newsletters.

If you’d like to be added to the newsletter starting in 2019, sign up here- http://eepurl.com/gcg-1H
