I'm Lize Okoh — a self-taught photographer and published author who built a profitable photography studio in London from scratch. Now I teach photographers the part nobody hands you: confident pricing, in-person sales, and how to build a premium brand that clients trust enough to invest in.
Plenty of photographers can teach you to use a camera. Far fewer have built a studio that's been profitable, year on year, since 2019 — and can show you exactly how to remain sustainable.
Okoh's Boudoir runs on a real high-value model — session fees, in-person sales and product orders — refined over seven years and 85 five-star reviews. You learn what works in practice, not in theory.
The gap that keeps most photographers underpaid isn't technical, it's commercial. I teach pricing, sales conversations and client experience as carefully as I'd teach a pose.
As a published author, I think about your brand as a narrative clients want to be part of — from the words on your website to the way your final gallery makes your clients feel.
Whether you're looking for free resources or want me in your corner one-to-one, there's support for every stage of your journey.
Honest, practical lessons on pricing, marketing, sales and building a studio that pays. The best place to see how I think before you spend a penny.
Templates and guides you can make your own the same afternoon.
Hands-on days in the studio with me — shoot, sell and leave with a plan.

I'm a photographer, author and educator based in London, self-taught over twenty years — from a point-and-shoot as a teenager to Okoh's Boudoir, a studio built on the belief that photography can change how people see themselves, and more recently an elopements and intimate weddings brand. Along the way my debut novel, The Returnees, was published by Hodder & Stoughton, with features in The Guardian, BBC and Amateur Photographer.
The creative side came naturally; the business side I had to learn the hard way. Now I help other photographers build businesses rooted in confidence, connection, client experience and profit — teaching, through my digital products, workshops and mentorship, how to stop winging it and start building with more intention.
I took a mentorship with Lize on how to scale my business and it was really useful. I left the sessions feeling confident about my updated pricing strategy and my client booking process. I will recommend this mentorship to anyone feeling stuck.
This course was brilliant and has given me a great guidance. As I am a Fine Art Photographer rather than weddings and portraits photographer, I still found it extremely useful. Particularly as Lize incorporated all the costs involved in a photographer’s life so it has given me a base to work with.
No. The examples come from my boudoir studio, but the lessons — pricing, sales, client experience, branding — apply to any genre where you sell to people directly. Wedding, portrait, family and newborn photographers all use the same principles.
Begin with my free videos on YouTube to see how I think, then pick up a digital product when you're ready for templates you can use straight away. When you want to go deeper, book a workshop, grab a 1:1 strategy call, or apply for full mentorship.
A workshop is a shared, hands-on day with a set curriculum. Mentorship is built entirely around your business needs — your pricing, your market, your goals — with ongoing support between sessions. It's by application so I can give each person real attention.
Workshops are run in person in small groups so you get real shooting and selling practice. Digital products, online masterclass and 1:1 mentorship can be accessed wherever you are.
Start free, go at your own pace, or work with me directly. Either way, the next step is simple.
