Hello lovelies, so as we run up to the end of the year, I find myself thinking about what my new year’s resolution will be for 2015.

I’ve decided on what my Fashion resolution will be and I’ll be sharing it with you soon. But for now, let’s talk about diversifying my wardrobe.

So after attending the African Week London Fashion show and London Fashion Week this summer, I realised that I hardly had any ankara designs in my wardrobe.

Determined to change this, I decided that on my trip to Ghana, I was going to invest in some pieces that would keep me looking fab, whilst maintaining my personal style. I bought this piece from the Arts centre in Accra.

Even when I was a child growing up in Lagos, I was never one to frequently wear traditional outfits made of ankara, but in the past couple of months, I’ve found myself drawn to African designers.

I believe that the continuously rising fashion industry on the continent has a part to play in my growing obsession.

I saw great looks and designs by African designers on the catwalks in Lagos during the GTBank Lagos Fashion & Design Week (LFDW), and I was greatly impressed.

Designers that particularly caught my eye were, Sunny Rose, I Am Isigo, Orange Culture  and Dzyn.
