Being Fierce & Fearless: An Introduction To Ofio

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, then you’d have come across these two words at some point- fierce & fearless.

These words have become my motto in regards to how I take actions towards my life dreams. By being Fierce, I mean doing whatever I set out to do with quality, and doing it to the best of my abilities. And by being Fearless, I mean doing it in spite of whatever fears I might have or whatever obstacles that might be in the way.

So while I encouraged you to be fierce and fearless, I was most importantly reminding myself to do the same and honour those words for their true meaning.

There are so many things that keep us away from living the life of our dreams, and it’s sad to say, but sometimes we do get in our own way.

As a little girl, I always dreamed of one day becoming my own boss, and this even became more crucial when I migrated to the UK which was bustling with so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have been afforded in my own home country. I made a decision even before I crossed continents that I would one day take the knowledge and skills that I would learn to improve myself and those in the communities I grew up in.

I had a dream.

One that I never quite knew of how it would materialize, but was sure beyond a doubt that I would work towards making a reality. And here we are.

Today, I introduce you to the first of my many ventures- Ofio.

OFIO is an acronym for Our Future Is Ours and if you’ve come to learn a few things about me, then the meaning behind those words should be crystal clear. Our future is indeed ours, and we must strive to make the best out of it. To better ourselves and those around us, and importantly, to shed light on the one by whom’s grace we live, breathe and enjoy wholesome lives.

Want to know a secret? Ofio is actually one of my childhood nicknames which has nothing to do with the current meaning I’ve given it, but the idea to call my brand Ofio was born out of thinking back to that little girl in the not so glamorous life in Lagos. I wanted something easy and sentimental but it became a whole lot more than that- that’s my life. My ideas starts small until it becomes more than I ever thought it would be!

Anyway, I’m super excited to begin this phase of my life and journey into entrepreneurship and I hope you’ll be with me on this awesome ride. I’m indeed grateful for the support I receive from you and can’t wait to see where all this takes us.
