The African Fashion Week London (AFWL) 2014 show was held at Kensington Olympia on Friday 8th & Saturday 9th of August and I was excited to be attending.

As you can imagine, my first thought was what to wear.

As usual I always opt to style myself in clothing that I feel comfortable and confident in. The last thing I ever want is to be overly conscious of myself, or looking down to see if my body parts are all cooperating and not playing peek a boo!

That aside, since it was my fashion show event, I wasn’t quite sure what to wear; but then I decided that after all,  in fashion, you’ve got to be you to be true, right?

Well I dug into my closet and came up with a combo that was fashion show worthy.

Arriving at the venue, I fit right in with the other fashionistas but still, my red midi skirt drew the attention it deserved.
