SewaFolie reached it’s first milestone. Sunday 15th of March marked the first year since I launched this website.
It’s funny how great things always begin with making that decision to take a step. I had just written my last exams at University and had reached a lag, so I thought to myself, why wait for a job in order to write? I loved writing anyway, so whether I was getting paid for it or not, I wanted to continue. And with that in mind, SewaFolie was born.
Initially, I had planned it to be like an online portfolio to archive some of my creative writings which I could turn employers to (which it still is of course) in the future, but it quickly grew into what it is today.
I’ve simply just followed what I’m passionate about and things I’m inspired by, and I believe it shows. I’m not chasing a trend, I simply want to do something I love while inspiring people at the same time. Simply put, if I can, so can you! That was my vision from the start, and I hope I’ve managed to do that to some extent.
As I continue to evolve, so will SewaFolie! Thus, last Saturday, I invited some friends to celebrate Sewafolie’s first anniversary.
More pictures from the celebratory dinner are below, but before you skip off, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who’s encouraged me, read my posts, commented on my posts, and shared my posts, etc.
I am because you are. Thank you!
I was a bit sceptical about throwing a fancy dinner but these inspirational words from a song by Cobhams Asuquo convinced me. It goes – Here’s to a new beginning, and here’s to a glorious end. Strive for a better tomorrow, it may go wrong, it may go right; celebrate your life, cuz there’s something good about where you are right now.
